4:30 on October 30th
At 4:30 pm on October 30, 2016 I submitted our official application to adopt from Haiti to All Gods Children International.
Hopefully we will hear back rather quickly about whether or not we can pursue the twins we saw online. Knowing that if they are ours, they are already ours. God knows. We don’t. I’m way too far ahead of myself in my heart with the idea of these two. I am fully aware that adoptive mothers hearts get broken all the time in this process. I just don’t know exactly how. But I’m expecting It. I’m hoping they say yes let’s pursue those twins, but I’m expecting them to say no we can’t.
And I will cry.
Update: I did cry. Now that Haiti is a Hauge country family’s are not allowed to pursue ” pre- selected children”. This is now in place to keep children safe and to help stop the illegal sale of children for international adoption. All in all, I am more than happy that Haiti is a Hauge country and that these measures are in place to protect children and families in poverty stricken countries. We are moving forward knowing that God still knows who our children are.
